NALCO offers Rs 1 crore accident cover for staff, Rs 20 lakh for contractors
Bhubaneswar, Sep 17 (UNI) National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, has extended Group Personal Accident Insurance coverage of Rs. 1 crore to all its regular employees through corporate salary accounts with SBI and partner banks.
The company has also introduced a Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme for contractual workers, offering Rs. 20 lakh coverage in case of accidental death while on duty and Rs. 10 lakh for disability.
A NALCO release said these initiatives align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of welfare and safety reforms in the mining sector, which focus on improved working conditions, skill development, social security, and sustainable growth.
Guided by the Ministry of Mines and union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy, NALCO continues to implement progressive welfare measures for its workforce.
With these schemes, the company has strengthened financial security and reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive growth and employee safety.
