Missing YouTuber Sagar Kundu Found Dead Near Duduma Waterfalls

Koraput, — The body of missing YouTuber Sagar Kundu was recovered near the Duduma Waterfalls in Odisha’s Koraput district, nearly ten days after he was swept away while filming drone footage for his channel.

Kundu had been exploring the scenic falls on August 23 with fellow content creator Abhijit Behera when he reportedly slipped into the fast-flowing waters.

Despite extensive search operations, his body was discovered on September 3, approximately 3 kilometers downstream from the Machkund Hydro Power Project.

Authorities confirmed the body was found in a severely mutilated state, missing the head. A mobile phone recovered at the site may help investigators reconstruct the final moments of the incident.

The tragedy has sparked widespread grief among locals and the digital creator community, raising urgent concerns about the lack of safety infrastructure at popular tourist and filming locations. Officials have launched an inquiry and urged visitors to exercise extreme caution in high-risk zones.

The incident has also ignited a broader conversation about the risks digital creators face while pursuing compelling content in dangerous terrains.
