Marriage Band Party Vehicle Overturns in Odisha – Lives Lost, Families Devastated
Sonepur, ( OT Webdesk)– A devastating accident on the Sonepur-Balangir road near Haradkhol claimed the lives of two individuals and left eight others critically injured when a vehicle carrying a marriage band party lost control and overturned.
The vehicle, which was transporting approximately 25 passengers from Manmunda to Kalahandi, reportedly veered off-course, resulting in the fatal crash.
Emergency responders arrived promptly, using cutting equipment to free trapped passengers. While two victims succumbed to their injuries on-site, the injured were rushed to Sonepur Medical College and Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the precise cause of the accident.
Officials confirmed that the deceased and injured hail from the Tura area in Bargarh, and efforts are underway to provide necessary support to the affected families.
Local residents have expressed deep sorrow over the incident, emphasising the need for better road safety measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
