Bhubaneswar, May 10, 2025( OT Webdesk) – Odisha has ramped up security measures across its coastal regions, placing marine police stations on high alert and enhancing surveillance to safeguard the area.
The move comes as authorities collaborate closely with the Coast Guard and Navy to ensure comprehensive monitoring.
Advanced technology is playing a crucial role, with drone-assisted patrolling becoming a key asset in coastal protection efforts.
The number of security personnel deployed has also increased, reinforcing Odisha’s commitment to preventing any security threats.
Officials state that community policing initiatives, running for over four months, have strengthened local awareness and response mechanisms. Additionally, retired officers have been called back into service to enhance vigilance.
“We are ensuring that Odisha’s coastal areas are protected with the highest level of security,” stated Arun Bothra, the ADG of Marine Security.
The administration remains focused on deterring unauthorised activities and safeguarding the state’s coastline.
With these stringent measures in place, Odisha sets a strong precedent in coastal defence, ensuring the safety of its citizens and marine assets.
