Man Apprehended While Attempting to Climb Puri’s Jagannath Temple
PURI, (OT Webdesk) — A man was caught attempting to climb the sacred Jagannath Temple near Beherana Dwara on Saturday, triggering swift action from temple authorities.
Eyewitnesses reported that the individual, believed to be from Ranchi, managed to ascend nearly five feet before being restrained by Jagannath Temple Police (JTP) and servitors.
Preliminary assessments suggest the man may be mentally unstable. He was taken into custody and is currently undergoing evaluation. No damage was reported to the temple structure, and the situation was brought under control without incident.
