(OT Webdesk)In a heartfelt tribute to South Indian superstar Rajinikanth’s golden jubilee in cinema, a devoted fan from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, has taken admiration to divine levels.

Karthik, a lifelong follower of the actor, constructed a temple at his residence and installed a 250-kg statue of Rajinikanth to mark the occasion.

The temple was adorned with over 5,500 photographs of the superstar, creating a shrine-like atmosphere.

Karthik and his family performed a traditional abhishekam—ritual bathing—with milk and water, accompanied by conch sounds reverberating through the temple.

“I consider Rajinikanth a deity,” said Karthik. “This celebration is our way of honouring his 50-year journey in cinema.”

Rajinikanth began his film career in 1975 and has remained a towering figure in Indian cinema ever since.

This fan-led celebration reflects the deep emotional connection and reverence he commands across generations.
