Lok Seva Bhawan Bhubaneswar: CM Majhi Lays Foundation Stone for Rs 3,623 Cr Assembly Campus
Bhubaneswar, Jan 12: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday laid the foundation stone for the ambitious Lok Seva Bhawan and New Assembly Campus in Bhubaneswar, marking a historic step toward modernising the state’s governance infrastructure.
Spread across 71.13 acres with an estimated cost of Rs 3,623 crore, the project will integrate the Assembly and Secretariat into a single, state-of-the-art hub.
The new Assembly building will feature a modern hall with 300 seats and an underground parking facility, designed to meet the growing needs of legislators and staff.
Law, Works & Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan emphasised that the expansion was essential to accommodate the increasing number of departments and employees.
The project, announced in June 2025, reflects CM Majhi’s long‑held vision of creating a digital‑first, efficient governance ecosystem.
Officials described the initiative as a transformative move that will redefine Odisha’s administrative landscape, ensuring better service delivery and accessibility for citizens.
