Leadership Strengthened: 15 Officers Move to Super Time Scale

The Odisha Home Department has issued promotion orders for 15 Additional Superintendents of Police (OPS‑SB), elevating them to the rank of Superintendent of Police in the Super Time Scale (OPS‑S).

Under the new order, the officers will draw salaries in the Level‑14 Pay Matrix, ranging from Rs 78,800 to Rs 2,09,200 per month, as per the ORSP Rules, 2017.

The promotions are on an ad hoc basis for one year, or until retirement, or until the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) makes its recommendations official.

The officers will continue in their current postings, which have been declared equivalent to OPS (S) rank during this period.

The promoted officers are spread across districts, specialised units such as CID, Vigilance, Intelligence, STF, IUCAW, and the Police Commissionerate, strengthening senior leadership across the state.

This move ensures operational stability while balancing career progression for senior police officers in Odisha.
