Kendrapara Autonomous College Defers Student Union Oath-Taking Amid Election Row
Kendrapara, Oct 16: The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Student Union office-bearers at Kendrapara Autonomous College has been postponed until further orders amid controversy surrounding the recent student union elections.
According to an official notification issued by college authorities, the oath-taking programme, which was scheduled to be held on Thursday, has been deferred due to “prevailing unavoidable circumstances.”
The announcement was made by Principal Chittaranjan Das.
The postponement comes in the wake of allegations of irregularities in the vote-counting process during the student union elections.
Reports indicate that members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest on the college campus, demanding a review of the counting procedures and greater transparency in the election process.
The development has created uncertainty among students awaiting the formal induction of the elected representatives.
College authorities have not announced a revised date for the ceremony and stated that a fresh schedule will be communicated later.
The situation continues to draw attention within the academic community as students and stakeholders await further clarification from the college administration regarding the election-related concerns and the rescheduled oath-taking programme.
