Kandhamala Police Bust Armed Gang, Seize Guns & Ganja
Kandhamala police have arrested a three-member armed gang accused of smuggling ganja and committing robberies in remote areas of Kandhamala and Boudh districts.
Acting on a tip-off, a special team raided Balliguda and apprehended Nilambita Mallick of Tilakapada village, Birendra Mallick, and Ranjit Bhoi of Ghantapada.
During the operation, police seized two country-made guns, 42 kilograms of ganja, and two motorcycles.
Investigators revealed that the gang used firearms to threaten pedestrians and loot valuables.
Authorities suspect their involvement in multiple robbery cases across the two districts.
The accused were produced before the court, and further investigation is underway to trace their criminal network and possible associates.
