Jagatsinghpur MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai Escapes Unhurt in Highway Collision
Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai narrowly avoided injury on Saturday after his car was struck by a speeding vehicle near Hajipur on National Highway 55.
The BJP parliamentarian was en route from Bhubaneswar to the Nabakrushna Choudhury Stadium in Jagatsinghpur to attend a sports event when the accident occurred.
The collision caused significant damage to his vehicle, but Tarai remained safe and continued with his schedule.
Biridi police acted swiftly, detaining the driver of the offending car and seizing the vehicle involved in the crash. Officials confirmed that Tarai did not sustain any injuries.
The incident has once again highlighted concerns over road safety on Odisha’s highways, where speeding and reckless driving remain pressing issues.
