Internet Outrage as Google Gemini Logo Appears in Vijay’s Rs 400-Crore Film Trailer

The trailer of actor Vijay’s much‑anticipated film Jana Nayagan has ignited a storm online after viewers spotted what appeared to be a Google Gemini AI watermark in one of its frames.

The fleeting logo, visible during a shotgun‑cocking sequence, was quickly captured in screen recordings and circulated across social media, sparking ridicule and criticism.

By Sunday morning, the watermark had been removed from the trailer, but the damage was already done.

Netizens questioned how such an oversight could occur in a film reportedly made on a Rs 400Rs crore budget, calling it “unacceptable” and “an insult to filmmaking craftsmanship.”

The controversy has reignited debate around the use of AI in mainstream cinema, with many arguing that high‑profile projects should rely on traditional filmmaking techniques rather than automated visuals.

Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, Jana Nayagan stars Vijay as a police officer on a mission of vengeance.

The ensemble cast includes Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Narain, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and lyrics by Arivu.

Scheduled for release on January 9, 2026, ahead of Pongal and Makar Sankranti festivities, the film carries added significance as Vijay’s final cinematic outing before his full‑time entry into politics with his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, launched in 2025.
