Human Sagar Makes Music Direction Debut with Thriller ‘Chhaki Shun’
Popular Odia playback singer Human Sagar has stepped into a new creative role—music director—for the upcoming research-based thriller Chhaki Shun.
Known for his soulful voice in hit tracks like “Chiring Chiring” and “Chal Ratire Ame Mal Pi,” Sagar now joins the ranks of legendary Odia artists who transitioned from singing to composing, such as Akshaya Mohanty and Subhash Dash.
The film, directed by Manas Padhiari and produced under the banners of Our Music and Two Nine Films, began shooting in Bhubaneswar with a star-studded mahurat ceremony.
Present were actors Anubhav Mohanty, Sambhabana Mohanty, Abhishek Panda, and others, alongside key crew members including cinematographer Deepak Kumar and art director Sudhanshu Mohanty.
Human Sagar credited the encouragement of Anubhav Mohanty and the production team for his move into music direction. “I hope to win the hearts of Odia audiences with my compositions,” he said.
Chhaki Shun promises to blend suspense with musical depth, marking a new chapter in Odia cinema and in Human Sagar’s artistic journey.
