Heavy Rains Set to Soak Odisha Districts Through September 13

Odisha is bracing for a prolonged spell of intense rainfall as the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasts heavy to very heavy showers across the state until September 13.

A Yellow Warning has been issued for eight districts—Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, and Balangir—where thunderstorms and heavy downpours are likely to disrupt daily life.

Authorities have urged district administrations to remain vigilant and prepare for potential crop damage and infrastructure strain.

Fishermen have been strongly advised against venturing into deep sea areas due to rough weather conditions. With the monsoon still active, further alerts may follow.
