Ganjam Family Car-Truck Collision in Srikakulam: 2 Dead, 5 Injured, CM Majhi Announces ₹4 Lakh Aid

Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh): A devastating road accident near Nandi village in Srikakulam district claimed the lives of two members of a family from Patissonpur village in Ganjam district, Odisha.

The family was travelling for medical purposes when their car collided head-on with a truck.

Five others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and announced an ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the kin of the deceased.

He also directed officials to extend all necessary assistance to the injured and their relatives.

This tragic incident highlights the urgent need for enhanced road safety measures along inter-state routes connecting Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
