Ex‑Minister’s Son Ajit Sahu Arrested in Land Fraud Case

Bhubaneswar: Ajit Kumar Sahu, son of former Odisha minister Nrusingha Sahu, has been arrested by the Bhubaneswar‑Cuttack Commissionerate Police in connection with multiple land fraud cases.

According to police sources, Ajit allegedly collected large sums of money from several individuals, including Rajya Sabha MP Sujit Kumar, promising prime land in Trishulia.

However, he failed to deliver and reportedly evaded accountability with repeated excuses.

Despite repeated summons from Delhi’s Patiala Court, Ajit did not appear, leading the court to declare him an absconder.

He was eventually arrested from his residence in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar.

Ajit has denied the allegations, claiming he never received court summons and suggesting they may have been sent to his village address.

The case highlights the intersection of political connections, alleged fraud, and ongoing legal battles in Odisha.
