Election for BJP Odisha President & National Council Members announced
Bhubaneswar, July 4 (UNI) The election process for the BJP Odisha State President and National Council members, which was earlier postponed due to unavoidable circumstances, will now be held from July 6 to July 8, BJP State Joint Election Officer Dr. Jatin Mohanty announced today.
The election, originally scheduled for July 1, was deferred in the wake of a tragic and unfortunate stampede near the Gundicha Temple in Puri, which claimed the lives of three devotees.
Dr. Mohanty informed that the election processes for the BJP’s local committees, mandal committees, and district committees have already been completed. The election process for the State President and National Council members is now set to begin.
According to the schedule, the provisional voters’ list will be published on July 6 at 11 AM. Complaints regarding the list will be reviewed between 12 noon and 2 PM, followed by the publication of the final voters’ list between 2 PM and 5 PM.
Nomination papers for the elections will be filed on July 7 from 11 AM to 2 PM. Complaints related to nominations will be addressed between 2 PM and 3 PM, after which the final list of candidates will be published by 4 PM, and election symbols will be allotted.
If required, polling will take place on July 8 from 9 AM to 11 AM, and the final results will be declared by 11:30 AM.
Dr. Mohanty further stated that Bihar MP Sanjay Jaiswal has been appointed as the observer by the Central Election Officer to oversee and supervise the entire election process.
