Dharmendra Pradhan Visits Puri Jagannath Temple, Backs Odia Education & Youth Sports
PURI, (OT Webdesk) — Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the sacred Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Thursday morning, accompanied by his wife, to offer prayers for the well-being of Odisha, India, and humanity.
During his visit, Pradhan held a meaningful dialogue with a local educationist regarding the National Education Policy.
The educationist emphasized the need for primary education in Odia across all schools in the state, advocating that students from Classes I to V be taught in their mother tongue.
Responding to concerns about the historic temple school, Pradhan assured that he would initiate discussions with the District Collector, Education Department officials, and the State Education Minister to explore restoration possibilities.
He also lauded the local administration’s proactive approach to Srimandir’s security and unveiled the brochure for the upcoming 3rd All India T10 Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament, underscoring his commitment to youth and sports development.
