Cyber Fraud Raid in Jajpur: Crime Branch Seizes Rs 20 Lakh, Prime Accused Absconding
Cuttack/Jajpur, Odisha: In a late-night crackdown on cyber fraud, the Crime Branch of Cuttack, in coordination with Dharmasala police, raided Pobal village in Jajpur district on Monday.
Acting on intelligence inputs, officials targeted the residence of Saroj Jena, identified as the prime accused in a large-scale cyber fraud case.
During the operation, which lasted from 11 pm to 3 am, authorities seized Rs 20 lakh in cash suspected to be linked to fraudulent activities. Three individuals associated with Jena were detained for questioning.
Despite the raid, Jena remains absconding, prompting investigators to intensify surveillance and expand their search.
Officials believe Jena played a central role in orchestrating cyber scams that defrauded multiple victims.
The Crime Branch has assured that efforts are underway to trace the accused and dismantle the wider network involved in the fraud.
