Crude Bomb Attack Near Kendriya Vidyalaya‑3 in Bhubaneswar: Police and NIA Probe

Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: Panic gripped residents of the capital city on Friday morning after miscreants hurled a crude bomb near Kendriya Vidyalaya‑3.

The explosion occurred around 8 AM, sending shockwaves through the neighbourhood and alarming parents and students as the attack took place close to a school.

Police officers rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area, and began collecting evidence.

CCTV footage from nearby establishments is being examined to identify those responsible. The Commissionerate Police assured residents that strict action would be taken against the perpetrators.

A team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) also reached the site to conduct a detailed probe. Investigators collected samples and reviewed surveillance footage to trace the culprits.

Authorities confirmed that no casualties or major property damage occurred. However, the incident has raised serious concerns about urban security and school safety in Bhubaneswar.

Local witnesses described the sudden chaos, while parents expressed relief that students were unharmed.

Officials reiterated their commitment to ensuring safety and restoring confidence among residents.
