Bus-truck crash in Mayurbhanj district claims three lives

Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), July 13: Three individuals tragically lost their lives in a road accident near Budikhmari Road on National Highway-18 under the Betnoti police station in Mayurbhanj district.
The incident occurred when a bus, carrying 20 pilgrims on a journey from Hyderabad to Gaya, lost control and collided head-on with a truck. Among the deceased is one of the bus drivers. Several passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to PRM Medical College and Hospital in Baripada.
The bus was carrying a total of 20 passengers, along with two drivers and helpers. The deceased driver was identified as Uday Singh from the Charminar area in Hyderabad.
According to reports, the passengers were en route to Gaya for a pilgrimage from Hyderabad.
ADMO Bijay Kumar Das reported that the driver died at the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries during treatment at the hospital. Fourteen critically injured passengers are currently undergoing treatment at Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital.
