Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), June 11: Reports indicate that Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik has received an invitation to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Odisha Chief Minister.
State BJP President Manmohan Samal, along with Suresh Pujari, Basanta Panda, and Nityananda Ganda, visited Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas to personally extend the invitation. Patnaik has been invited to grace the ceremony scheduled for Wednesday.
The ceremony marks the first oath-taking of the BJP Chief Minister in Odisha. Notable attendees expected include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, various Chief Ministers, and Union Ministers. Following the invitation, former CM Manmohan Samal confirmed that Naveen Patnaik has agreed to attend the event at 4:15 pm.
In anticipation of the ceremony and the Prime Minister’s visit, the Commissionerate Police has implemented a five-hour traffic restriction. Vehicular movement from Jaydev Vihar to Nalco Street will be prohibited from 2 pm to 7 pm, with all connecting roads to this route sealed off. The Police Commissioner emphasized that no traffic will be allowed on this route during the specified period.
