Berhampur Police Crack Down on DJ Vehicles and Marriage Processions
Berhampur Police have announced strict enforcement measures against unauthorised DJ vehicles and marriage processions following rising complaints of harassment, traffic congestion, and noise pollution.
Authorities emphasised that noise levels must remain within prescribed limits—55 dB in residential areas between 6 AM and 10 PM, and silence zones within 100 meters of hospitals, schools, and courts.
Unauthorised modifications of DJ vehicles, glaring lights, and processions without prior police permission will face immediate action.
Vehicles found violating rules will be seized, and organisers may face criminal charges.
Police have appealed to the public for cooperation to ensure safety, reduce disturbances, and maintain order during celebrations.
