According to the IMD, a low-pressure area formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal, adjoining the west-central Bay off the south Odisha coast, is expected to cause heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) in Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, and Rayagada on July 15. Additionally, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is anticipated in Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Balangir.

Squally weather with gusty winds reaching 40 to 50 kmph is likely over the northwest and west-central Bay of Bengal off the south Odisha coast on July 15-16.
