46 New Civil Judge Courts Established to Boost Legal Efficiency in Odisha

46 New Civil Judge Courts

The Odisha government has taken a monumental step to expedite legal proceedings by inaugurating 46 Civil Judge (Junior Division) courts across the state.

These courts, strategically distributed across multiple districts, aim to address judicial challenges and reduce the caseload on existing courts.

The initiative includes new courts in districts such as Balasore, Sundargarh, and Sambalpur, with notable additions in Baliapal, Lefripada, and Rengali. Approved by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the decision was made in consultation with the High Court of Orissa.

These courts will assume jurisdiction over revenue tahsils, offering greater access to justice for local citizens. With this launch, the jurisdiction of previous Junior Division courts over these areas has ceased, enhancing judicial efficiency across Odisha.
