YouTuber Rahul Maharana Murdered in Bhubaneswar After Dispute

Bhubaneswar: A shocking incident unfolded late Saturday night when popular YouTuber Rahul Maharana, 28, was brutally murdered at the GGP Colony ground. Maharana, a resident of Palasuni who also ran an oxygen cylinder supply business, had married just two months ago.

According to eyewitnesses, three assailants — a jawan of the 120 Battalion and his two nephews — chased Maharana with swords and knives before attacking him repeatedly.

He collapsed on the ground and was rushed to Capital Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police investigations revealed that the murder stemmed from a long‑standing dispute between Maharana and the accused.

Although a settlement had previously been mediated, tensions reignited on Saturday after heated arguments. Later that night, the accused allegedly plotted revenge after consuming liquor.

All three attackers were arrested within hours, and the weapons used in the crime were seized.

Authorities are probing deeper into the motive and prior clashes, while the incident has sparked outrage in Bhubaneswar over rising street violence.
