Sambalpur, (OT Webdesk) — In a powerful expression of unity and India’s cultural ethos, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan led the 11th International Day of Yoga celebrations on the banks of the Mahanadi near the iconic Maa Samaleswari Temple.

The event brought together officials, students, and citizens in an invigorating session highlighting yoga’s transformative role in society.

Calling yoga “India’s gift to the world,” Pradhan praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s global advocacy for the practice, now embraced from classrooms to world stages.

The Ministry of Education orchestrated parallel yoga sessions at prestigious and historic locations like Delhi University, the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, Mysore Palace, and Somanathapura Temple—demonstrating the seamless blend of tradition and modernity.

Officials like Dr. Vineet Joshi and Prof. Yogesh Singh joined hundreds in Delhi, while educational institutions across Bihar and Karnataka partnered with local authorities to amplify the wellness message.
