XIM Bhubaneswar’s BES 2025 Sparks Bold Conversations on AI, Ethics, and Leadership

Bhubaneswar, Sept 14,  — The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) marked its 38th year of academic excellence with the 7th edition of its flagship Business Excellence Summit (BES), themed “Leading at the Edge: From Uncertainty to Impact.” The two-day event brought together industry stalwarts, faculty, and students to explore the evolving landscape of leadership, technology, and ethics.

The summit opened with a compelling keynote by Kamadeba Mohanty, COO of Reliance Grocery Retail & Jiomart, who urged students to embrace failure, stay agile, and harness AI for strategic growth. “If you’re not failing in life, you’re not truly successful,” he declared, setting the tone for a day of introspection and innovation.

A dynamic panel followed, featuring leaders like Sapna Mohata (NaBFID), Amit Pahuja (American Express GBT), Aroop Mohapatra (IndusInd Bank), and Bhaskar Roy (Tata Sons).

Discussions ranged from ethical decision-making and mental resilience to the risks of AI overdependence and the need for disruptive thinking.

Dr. Bhaskar Roy of Genpact introduced “Platform” as the 8th P of marketing, emphasising responsible AI and lifelong learning.

Satya Swarup Das (Unisys) and Debasis Mohapatra (Consultant) reinforced the importance of execution and scaling ideas with purpose.

The summit concluded with closing remarks by Fr. Nithin Monteiro, SJ, and a heartfelt vote of thanks from the BES team.
