WSC Academy conducts training programme for Bihar ITI instructors

Bhubaneswar, July 14 (UNI) The World Skill Centre Academy successfully concluded a two-week Training of Trainers (TOT) programme in pedagogy and assessment for instructors from government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across Bihar.

A total of 34 instructors participated in the programme, which focused on modern teaching methodologies, lesson planning, content analysis, rubric-based assessment, and higher-order question framing.

The training was conducted under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the World Skill Centre and the Bihar Skill Development Mission.

At the closing ceremony held in Bhubaneswar today, key members of the WSC leadership, including CEO Rashmita Panda, COO Pinaki Pattnaik, Chief Skills Officer Bruce Poh, Principal
T. Thambyrajah, Deputy Principal Jeetamitra Satpathy, and other academy staff interacted with the participants.

Speaking at the event, WSC CEO Rashmita Panda expressed optimism about such collaborative programmes.

“These initiatives will foster greater cross-state collaboration in capacity building. WSC is committed to supporting more such partnerships in the future,” she said.

COO Pinaki Patnaik said the programme was expected to have a multiplier effect, with instructors applying their new skills back in their home institutions.
Principal T. Thambyrajah emphasised WSC Academy’s growing national footprint.

“We are proud to support the broader skill development ecosystem of India by welcoming trainers from other states,” he said.
Deputy Principal Jeetamitra Satpathy highlighted the ripple effect that such training can generate across classrooms nationwide by promoting best practices in vocational education.

Ashutosh Nayan Dey, Deputy Director of WSC Academy, underlined that the initiative was designed to empower trainers with learner-centric tools and reliable assessment techniques, enhancing the overall quality of vocational education.

Participants from Bihar shared positive feedback during the ceremony and committed to implementing their learning in their respective institutions.
