WPL 2026 Schedule Announced: Fourth Season Begins January 9, Final on February 5
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) is set to return for its fourth edition, running from January 9 to February 5, 2026.
The tournament will be hosted across two venues — DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara — promising another month of elite women’s T20 cricket.
The league will continue with its proven format: each team faces the others twice in the group stage, with the top-ranked side advancing directly to the final.
The second and third-placed teams will battle in the Eliminator for the remaining spot in the title clash.
Since its inception in 2023, the WPL has grown rapidly:
- 2023: Harmanpreet Kaur’s Mumbai Indians lifted the inaugural trophy, defeating Meg Lanning’s Delhi Capitals.
- 2024: Smriti Mandhana’s Royal Challengers Bangalore claimed the crown, while Delhi Capitals finished runners-up again.
- 2025: Mumbai Indians secured their second championship, overcoming Delhi Capitals once more.
The 2025 season marked a milestone with the expansion to four cities — Vadodara, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai — showcasing the league’s rising popularity.
With Navi Mumbai and Vadodara hosting in 2026, fans can expect thrilling contests, star performances, and a celebration of women’s cricket at its finest.
