Odisha Vigilance has initiated a major operation across eight locations in various districts to investigate allegations against Ramachandra Satpathy, an Assistant Executive Engineer of Athmallik Block, Angul District.
The raids, led by a team of seven DSPs and 15 Inspectors, are carried out under a search warrant issued by the Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack. Authorities aim to uncover evidence of disproportionate assets linked to Satpathy.
Among the notable discoveries, approximately ₹22 lakh in cash was recovered from the residence of Satpathy’s son-in-law, Dr. Tapan Kumar Tripathy, a Medical Officer in Kalahandi.
The operation reflects Odisha Vigilance’s intensified efforts to combat corruption, ensuring transparency and accountability within public officials. Investigations continue as more details surface.
