Usha Padhee Assumes Charge as IDCO Chairperson, Sets Vision for Industrial Growth in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Usha Padhee has officially taken charge as Chairperson of the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO).

Currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development Department, Padhee’s appointment marks a significant step in strengthening the state’s industrial ecosystem.

Immediately after assuming office, she convened a meeting with senior officials and staff to outline priorities and review ongoing projects.

Padhee emphasised the need for robust industrial infrastructure, timely project execution, and transparent governance.

Highlighting IDCO’s pivotal role in Odisha’s industrial growth, she underscored the importance of planned urban development alongside industrial expansion.

Her vision includes developing well‑planned industrial townships equipped with advanced civic amenities, efficient transportation, and sustainable infrastructure.
