TV actor Ashish Kapoor arrested on sexual assault charges in Pune

Pune, Sep 4 (UNI) Television and film actor Ashish Kapoor has been arrested by the Delhi police from Pune on charges of sexually assaulting a woman at his residence.
According to police, “Kapoor came in contact with the woman through Instagram, and their acquaintance soon turned into a friendship. He later invited her to his house for a party, where one of his friends and the friend’s wife were also present.”
“The complainant alleged that Kapoor sexually assaulted her in the bathroom. She further claimed that the friend’s wife physically assaulted her after the incident. However, it was the same woman, the wife of Kapoor’s friend, who informed the police about the assault”, authorities said.
Delhi Police arrived in Pune and arrested Ashish Kapoor from here in connection with the case.

Kapoor is known for his roles in popular television serials such as Saat Phere and Dekha Ek Khwaab. He has also appeared in films like Inkaar, Kurbaan, and Table No. 21.
