Tusharkanti Satapathy Appointed Judicial Member of GST Appellate Tribunal

(OT Webdesk)In a landmark appointment for Odisha’s legal fraternity, Tusharkanti Satapathy, a veteran advocate of the Odisha High Court, has been named Judicial Member of the GST Appellate Tribunal by the President of India.

A native of Samantsahi, Cuttack, Satapathy brings over 35 years of distinguished legal experience to the role.

Having joined the Odisha High Court in 1991, Satapathy has served as Senior Standing Counsel for both the Income Tax and Commercial Tax Departments, representing the government in numerous high-profile cases.

His legal expertise also spans representation of premier institutions like the University Grants Commission and Madhusudan Law University.

Satapathy’s appointment is seen as a recognition of his enduring commitment to public service and legal excellence.

The grandson of Banchanidhi Satapathy, the first headmaster of Ranihat High School, he is widely respected across Odisha for his contributions to the judiciary and governance.
