Tree Collapse at CRPF Camp Claims Jawan’s Life in Sundargarh

A tragic incident struck the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Sundargarh district, Odisha, when a massive tree collapsed late Tuesday night.

The accident claimed the life of Rakesh Kumar, a jawan of the CoBRA 210 Battalion, who was resting inside the Babudera camp when the tree fell.

Kumar sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Ranchi for emergency treatment, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.

The sudden accident has left his colleagues and the force in deep shock, with senior officials describing the loss as irreparable.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the collapse and are considering enhanced safety measures for forest camps to prevent similar tragedies.

Fellow jawans remembered Kumar as a disciplined and courageous soldier who served the nation with dedication.
