Keonjhar,(Rasananda Behera) Mar 15 : A horrifying road accident on National Highway 20 near Dolita Chhak in Champua claimed the lives of three members of a family traveling to celebrate Holi with their loved ones. The accident has left the local community in shock and mourning.
The Incident: Early on the morning of the tragedy, Aiban Pradhan, Mathamani Pradhan, and their son, Mangal Pradhan, from Sananai village, were en route on a motorcycle to their son-in-law’s residence. As they approached Dolita Chhak, a speeding truck from Rimuli collided head-on with their motorcycle near their destination.
The impact was devastating—Aiban Pradhan died on the spot. Mathamani Pradhan and Mangal Pradhan were rushed to Champua hospital with severe injuries. Unfortunately, Mathamani succumbed to her injuries during treatment, and Mangal passed away while being transferred to Keonjhar hospital for advanced care.
Community Outrage: The tragic accident has fueled outrage among locals, who gathered at Dolita Chhak to protest. Demonstrators burned tires and blocked the highway, demanding immediate action against reckless driving and better safety measures on the roads.
