Tata Steel Joda Run-a-Thon Returns on November 23 with 5.67 Lakh Prize Pool and a Green Mission
Joda :— Tata Steel is all set to host the second edition of its flagship fitness and sustainability event, the Joda Run-a-Thon, on November 23, 2025, at the Central Sports Ground in Joda, Kendujhar district.
This year’s theme, “Every Step Towards a Greener Future,” reflects the company’s commitment to both health and environmental stewardship.
Organised by the OMQ (Ore Mines & Quarries) Division of Tata Steel, the event will kick off at 6:00 AM and feature three competitive race categories:
– 10 km and 7 km for men and women
– 5 km for boys and girls
– 2 km non-competitive walk for persons with disabilities
Total prize money of 5.67 lakh will be awarded across categories, making it one of the most rewarding community races in the region.
In a unique green initiative, Tata Steel will plant one sapling for every participant, reinforcing the event’s dual focus on fitness and sustainability.
Speaking about the event, Atul Kumar Bhattanagar, General Manager of OMQ Division, said:

The announcement event saw the presence of Rajesh Kumar, Chief of Tata Steel Joda, along with other senior officials, signalling strong institutional support for the initiative.
