Sunny Deol Joins Ramayana as Lord Hanuman, Praises Ranbir Kapoor’s Dedication

(OT Webdesk)Veteran actor Sunny Deol is set to bring Lord Hanuman to life in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious cinematic adaptation of Ramayana.

Speaking to Zoom, Deol described the role as both “exciting” and “challenging,” acknowledging the emotional depth and creative responsibility it demands.

He praised co-star Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, calling him a “fine actor” known for his immersive performances.

Deol expressed confidence in the production team, led by producer Amit, and hopes the film’s visual effects will rival Hollywood standards.

In Ramayana: Part 1, Hanuman will appear toward the end, with Deol’s screen time limited to under 30 minutes. However, his role will expand significantly in Part 2, slated for release in Diwali 2027.

The first installment hits theatres in Diwali 2026.

The ensemble cast includes Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, promising a star-studded retelling of the timeless epic.
