Sudarsan Pattnaik unveils Maa Durga sand sculpture, shows her blessing Team India

Bhubaneswar, Sep 27 (UNI) Renowned sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik unveiled a magnificent sand sculpture on Puri Beach, Odisha, blending the festive fervour of Durga Puja with the excitement of the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 final.

The 6-foot-tall artwork, created with nearly five tons of sand, carries the inspiring message, “Maa Durga’s Blessings Good Luck, Team India!”
It portrays a powerful image of Maa Durga showering blessings on the Indian cricket team, symbolising national unity, cultural pride, and sporting spirit.
A highlight of the sculpture is the incorporation of 250 intricately carved sand balls, representing strength, teamwork, and the collective aspirations of millions of cricket fans across the nation.

Students from Pattnaik’s Sand Art Institute contributed to the creation under the guidance of their internationally acclaimed mentor, showcasing collaborative creativity at its finest.

With over 65 international sand art championships and festivals to his credit, Pattnaik has consistently used his art to spread awareness on global issues such as climate change, plastic pollution, health, and peace.

This latest creation seamlessly merges tradition, art, and patriotism, serving as both a festive celebration and a heartfelt tribute to Team India ahead of the much-awaited Asia Cup final.
