Subhadra Yojana Fourth Instalment Released: ₹5,000 Cr Credited to 1.2 Crore Women in Odisha

Puri, Odisha: On International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi disbursed the fourth instalment of Subhadra Yojana at Talabania, Puri.

More than 1.2 crore women across Odisha received direct benefit transfers (DBT), with over Rs 5,000 crore credited into their accounts.

The event, held under the banner of Subhadra Samavesh, was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida and other dignitaries.

The scheme, aimed at strengthening household finances and empowering women, welcomed 2.13 lakh new beneficiaries this time, expanding its reach further.

Beneficiaries expressed satisfaction with the seamless DBT process, while the government highlighted the scheme’s role in promoting financial independence and social welfare.

The timing of the announcement on International Women’s Day added symbolic significance, reinforcing Odisha’s commitment to women’s empowerment.
