Odisha Government to Celebrate Panchayati Raj Diwas with Subhadra Yojana Financial Support Bhubaneshwar, April 19, 2025 – The Odisha government has announced plans to distribute the sixth phase of financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana on Panchayati Raj Diwas, April 24. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida disclosed that over 1.7 lakh women across the state will receive ₹10,000 in two installments through direct bank transfers.

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2024, Subhadra Yojana aims to empower women financially and provide households with steady economic assistance. Eligible applicants between 21 and 60 years old, verified through Aadhaar, can benefit from the scheme.

The last installment on March 6, 2025, reached 2.3 lakh women, reinforcing the government’s commitment to supporting women’s empowerment and welfare. Women who submitted their applications by March 31 will qualify for the April cycle.

This initiative reflects the Odisha government’s dedication to uplifting women and strengthening their financial independence, marking another milestone in progressive governance.
