Spiritual Fervour Grips Odisha on Ram Navami
Bhubaneswar: The birth anniversary of Lord Rama was celebrated with immense devotion across Odisha on Ram Navami 2026, as thousands of devotees thronged temples to offer prayers.
The atmosphere resonated with chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” while temples were adorned with flowers and lights.
Religious activities included bhajans, kirtans, and recitations of the Ramcharitmanas, drawing large gatherings in cities and towns.
In Ayodhya, lakhs of pilgrims witnessed the grand Surya Tilak ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, where sunlight was directed onto the idol of Ram Lalla at noon.
At Puri’s Jagannath Temple, special rituals such as the Sri Ram Janma Niti were performed. Public darshan was suspended between 5 PM and 10 PM to facilitate the ceremonies.
The festival continues to symbolise righteousness, duty, and unity, reinforcing Lord Rama’s ideals and their relevance in modern society.
