Six Odisha students to join SAKURA Science High School Programme in Japan

Bhubaneswar, Aug 14 (UNI) Six meritorious students from various districts of Odisha, along with a guide teacher, will represent the state in the prestigious SAKURA Science High School Programme (SSHP) in Japan from August 16 to 23.

The SSHP, an initiative of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), aims to nurture young talent in science and technology through short-term visits, academic exchanges and cultural interactions.

The programme offers students worldwide the opportunity to visit Japan’s leading universities, research institutions, and high-tech industries, fostering mutual understanding and inspiring future scientific collaboration.

The selected students are: Sai Soham Pradhan – Iconic OAV, Andharua, Khordha, Sreyashree Panigrahi – BJB Higher Secondary School, Bhubaneswar, Samikhya Rani Mali – Govt. SSD Higher Secondary School, Karchamal, Nabarangpur, Chandra Sekhar Behera – Khallikote Higher Secondary School, Berhampur, Ganjam, Sipra Satapathy – Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School, Cuttack and Punya Pulokita Pati – OAV, Tarando, Kendrapara.

They will be accompanied by Niharika Sahu, a guide teacher from BJB Higher Secondary School, Bhubaneswar.
