Silicon Tech Owner Arrested in Odisha SI Recruitment Scam

In a major breakthrough in the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam, the Crime Branch has arrested Suresh Chandra Nayak, owner of Silicon Tech, following an intense interrogation.

Nayak was taken into custody after a marathon questioning session and is set to be presented in court today alongside another key accused, Shankar.

Shankar, who was brought from Delhi to Cuttack, is believed to be closely linked to Munna Mohanty, the alleged mastermind and middleman in the scam.

The Crime Branch is expected to seek remand from the Brahmapur JMFC Rural Court to extract further details.

Sources indicate that Shankar has hinted at the involvement of former government officials, potentially widening the scope of the investigation.

Authorities have also retrieved the birth charts of all 124 recruited candidates, suggesting deep-rooted manipulation in the selection process.

The arrests mark a significant escalation in the probe, with investigators now focusing on political connections and systemic irregularities that may have enabled the scam.
