Shooting Incident at Kapil Sharma’s Canadian Cafe
Canada(OT Webdesk) – Popular Indian comedian Kapil Sharma’s cafe, Caps Cafe, came under attack after three masked gunmen opened fire at the establishment before fleeing the scene.
The incident took place in the early hours and left the community shaken, though no injuries or fatalities were reported.
According to eyewitnesses, the assailants arrived in a car and rapidly discharged multiple rounds.
In a startling development, the Khalistani extremist group led by Harjit Singh Laddi claimed responsibility for the assault. The motive, however, remains unclear.
The cafe, co-owned by Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath, has been operating in Canada for nearly two years and is known for its vibrant ambience and quality coffee.
Neither Kapil nor Ginni has issued a public statement about the incident, raising speculation about whether the attack targeted the cafe or was intended as a message to Sharma personally.
At present, Kapil Sharma is engaged in filming his popular comedy show The Great Indian Kapil Show.
Canadian authorities are investigating the matter, and heightened security measures are being considered around the cafe premises.
