Shah Rukh Khan Turns 60: Global Fans Flock to Mannat for a Star-Studded Celebration

Mumbai, Nov 2 — Bollywood’s beloved superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned 60 today, and the celebration was nothing short of a global phenomenon.

Thousands of fans from across India and around the world gathered outside his iconic sea-facing residence, Mannat, in Bandra to mark the milestone birthday of the man affectionately known as “King Khan.”

Among the sea of admirers were Claudia Calle and Manigret Aparicio, who flew in from Peru. Claudia, an artist and founder of the SRK Peru Fan Club, shared how her love for the actor began with the 2004 classic Veer Zaara. “Our home is a tribute to him — filled with posters, art, and love,” she said.

The duo even named their house “Mannat” and brought 26 handcrafted figurines of SRK’s most iconic characters as a birthday gift.

Fan clubs like SRK Universe and Team Shah Rukh Khan orchestrated week-long festivities, including charity drives, food distribution, and special screenings of Main Hoon Na for underprivileged children. “SRK inspires us to give back,” said Yash Paryani, co-founder of SRK Universe.

Despite ongoing renovations at Mannat, the energy outside the residence was electric.

Fans organised midnight rallies, unfurled massive banners, and even planned a drone show. Many hoped to catch a glimpse of SRK’s traditional birthday wave from his balcony.

Shah Rukh Khan, who began his career with television serials like Fauji and Circus, made his Bollywood debut in Deewana (1992).

Over the decades, he has delivered unforgettable performances in films like Baazigar, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Swades, and Chak De! India, Pathaan, and Jawan.

Looking ahead, SRK is set to star in King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film features a stellar cast including Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, and Arshad Warsi.

The first look is expected to be unveiled today, adding to the excitement.

As fans chant his name and celebrate his legacy, one sentiment echoes through the crowd: “Shah Rukh Khan means love.”
