Kendrapara, July 26 (UNI) A science teacher was detained by Talachua Marine Police today after multiple girl students accused him of misbehaving under the pretext of checking their science notes.
Around 15 girl students lodged a complaint with the Headmaster, alleging that the teacher had inappropriately touched them while checking their notebooks and also during classroom teaching sessions.
The students urged the Headmaster to take immediate action and prevent the teacher from continuing such inappropriate behaviour.
Additionally, five parents of the students submitted separate complaints to the Headmaster on Thursday regarding the same matter.
Following the complaints, the Headmaster reported the incident to the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Talachua Marine Police Station.
A police team promptly visited the school, detained the teacher, and took him to the station for further inquiry.
