Run for Unity Celebrates Sardar Patel’s 150th Birth Anniversary at Kalinga Stadium

Bhubaneswar, Oct 31: In a spirited tribute to India’s Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, hundreds gathered at Kalinga Stadium today to participate in the “Run for Unity” commemorating his 150th birth anniversary.

The event, held on National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas), aimed to reinforce Patel’s legacy of national integration and collective strength.

Participants from diverse backgrounds—students, athletes, police personnel, and civil society members—joined the run, symbolising unity in diversity.

Organised by the Odisha government, the event featured cultural performances, speeches highlighting Patel’s role in unifying India post-independence, and a pledge ceremony reaffirming commitment to national harmony.

The stadium echoed with slogans of unity and patriotism as the run concluded with a vibrant display of tricolour and community spirit.
