Rukuna Rath Yatra 2026: Preparations Begin for Lord Lingaraj’s Chariot in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, March 5, 2026: Preparations for the famous Rukuna Rath Yatra of Lord Lingaraj have begun in Bhubaneswar.
The traditional construction of the grand chariot is underway at the Rath Khala, where timber is being shaped and assembled.
Rituals marking the start of the process have already been completed, ensuring the festival will be celebrated with the same devotion and grandeur as in previous years.
The Rukuna Rath Yatra, a centuries‑old tradition, draws thousands of devotees and visitors to the temple city.
