Rourkela Police Seize Over 5 Quintals of Ganja, Six Arrested in Major Crackdown
Rourkela: In a significant breakthrough against narcotics trafficking, police at Plant Site Station in Rourkela seized more than five quintals of ganja during a special enforcement drive.
Acting on credible intelligence inputs, the operation led to the arrest of six individuals suspected to be part of an inter‑state drug network.
Authorities confiscated five cars used for transporting the contraband, six mobile phones linked to coordination efforts, and a substantial amount of cash believed to be proceeds from the illegal trade.
Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation to trace additional individuals connected to the racket.
Officials emphasised their commitment to sustained surveillance and coordinated enforcement to curb drug trafficking.
